2026 EMPA Convention:
We are back at the Holiday Inn, Wilkes-Barre at East Mountain Inn, 600 Wildflower Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
The dates for the convention are January 16-18
Reservations are now being taken
· Call there directly at 570-822-1011
· Go to their website https://tinyurl.com/EasternMotorSports2026 You'll have to click on the word Proceed and that will take you directly to the reservation page, but you do have to click on "Proceed".
Whatever method you choose, be sure you have the correct dates (January 16-18) and mention EMP for the code or say 'Eastern Motor Sports'.
The rate is $124/night for either one King or two Queens. If you need a Handicap-accessible room, you will have to mention that.
We have requested additional rooms this year which they are providing for us.
Contests:
There is still plenty of time to get your entries together for the EMPA/Pocono Raceway Writers Contest and the EMPA/Brice’s Photo Contest.
There are no rules changes in either group so if you entered before there should be no problem.

Nominations:
We are now accepting award and Hall of Fame nominations. If you have someone you would like to be considered for the various awards, as well as the Hall of Fame, please send them along with a brief bio, to dlmo@ptd.net as soon as possible. The Board will be getting ready to go over all those details very soon and we would like as much input as possible from you all.
Board of Directors seats:
There are two seats on the Board of Directors up for election this year, currently held by Dino Oberto and Pete MacDonald. These are three-year terms. If you would like to have your name on the ballot please let me know via email, dlmo@ptd.net We’ll make sure you are included when we send out the official ballot. There will be no voting for Board members at the convention.
